The Woodsman Model 770 is a redesigned model of its successful predecessor, the Model 18X. We have offset the frame of the chipper to accommodate the larger radiators that are required by Tier 3 power units and in turn been able to reduce the Model 770’s overall width. At the heart of the machine is our 37” diameter by 24” wide full knife pocket chipping drum and our rear-pivoting feed wheel, which is still driven by two Auburn Gear Boxes. Additionally, Woodsman has upgraded the hydraulic system and incorporated plug-and-play wiring. The overall result provides customers a cleaner and simpler chipper with less hydraulic hoses and fittings. Our newly redesigned hydraulic winch is garnering rave reviews and is now readily available. For 2008 the Woodsman Model 770 is available with the following engine options: Caterpillar 142 HP, Caterpillar 213 HP, John Deere 140 HP, John Deere, 170 HP, and John Deere 200 HP.
